The subjects of French and Home Economics joined forces last week to offer students a CLIL lesson on making and baking through French. In the classroom, students learned about the ingredients and utensils necessary for making pancakes ( sweet crêpes as well as savoury galettes). They also learned about the function of each ingredient and the effect it has on our pancake batter and cake mixture, when baking.
In the kitchen students then put their knowledge into practice, preparing batter en francais, asking for plus de chocolat and even mastering the art of flipping a pancake or two, j'ai fait sauté ma crêpe! Oh la la!
